Neat that the train was operated thru the entire state but I never did really understand the purpose or who was really behind the idea. Regardless, great photo, David

By the length of the letterboard, that stainless steel Baggage-RPO cars is either a former L&N or West Point Route car, built for the Crescent Limited pool. If it is from the latter road, it would be right at home as CSX's Western Railway of Alabama shared the Opelika depot with Southern's old Central of Georgia.
