Stan... Another classic image with the Thompsonville water tower and the C&O interlocking signals in the background. Ironically, the C&O track between Manistee and Traverse City was abandoned on February 20, 1982, which was just a few months before the Ann Arbor ceased operation on April 26th. I never imagined the Ann Arbor would actually out-live the C&O at Thompsonville, but that's how it turned out. I'm sure not too many folks in Thompsonville lost any sleep over losing both of their rail lines within the short span of nine weeks...
