Excellent photo of PRR's first GG1! Such a good combination....they ran just as well as they looked. This photo is slightly unusual in that it shows the front pantograph extended. The GG1's usually ran with their rear pantograph extended when attached to a train. Thanks for sharing this gem.

Trying to decide what kind of hat guy leaning out cab window is wearing; leaning to calling it a sailor's hat but it could be a billed cap with bill edge-on, or even turned up as was done sometimes.
