Immaculate is the word. You won't see anything this nice in a museum. Kudos to the folks at Knott's for seeing the value in historical accuracy. Definitely on my short list of places to visit!

I lived in LA for years and never got around to Knott's. I didn't even know RGS 41 was there! While I could kick myself, I can see Rio Grande Southern in heavenly perfection with your picture. Thank you Charles.

I grew up just two miles from here. Back in early 1960s my brother and I would ride out bikes to Knott's and spend the day - there was no admission charge then! Their C-19s weren't painted accurately back then, and the coaches had arrows stuck in their sides. But it was great on warm summer evenings, while out playing, to hear the steam whistle on the Knott's train every 10 minutes or so. (They also have RGS Galloping Goose #3, and for a short time K-27 464, though it had a problem on one of their curves.)
