Now that is something you don't see everyday; CPR steam in aridity! I forgot, if I ever knew, that No. 2860 was in So Cal. I feel silly because I was living there at the time. Another possibility about the blue object is that it blew out the door and the crew person is vainly trying to catch it! Nice record of an interesting move. Thanks for sharing Craig.
