It was "DESTINY," in the "City Of." Or, to quote Tacoma's new shop local campaign slogan, "Shift Happens." Put a dome over it and you could sell tickets! Glad you were able to capture this, Steve

People won't learn because they think trains are a joke.

The answer to your question is: no, they will never learn.

Now you can see why in the UK, we fence off our railways. To prevent the majority of brain-dead idiots harming themselves and innocent others.

Evil Knievel would have been proud.

As big as the United States and Canada is, it would be impossible to fence all of our rail lines...I think the key to rail safety is education. It's not only the bystander that gets hurt but also the crews.

These people never learn... I try to educate people on how serious trains are and to LOOK, LISTEN, AND LIVE!

Re: Fence all railroad tracks: The land area of the UK is 94,000 square miles. The land area of New Mexico, the fourth biggest state in the US, is 121,000 94,000 square miles.

Idiot! Busy Mainline jumping?! I don't think so

He got what he asked for. You couldn't physically fence off all the railroad and people could still easily jump them if they really wanted to. If you going to train watch train watch in a safe area and if you want to explore the tracks make sure to do so safely, near a signal, or on a long straight away and make sure to always be alert to your surroundings. Many trains can be damped easily and you never know its there until its coming right at you.
