If you'll take note the construction area on the right, this was replacement project for the bridges over a small creek, that provided an easing of the sharp curves in Elizabeth as a bonus. Here the new fill is already in, and the catenary spans have been widened in George's photo, as the bases for the former poles can be seen next to the right-of-way. Each span, and its track, was done in turn, and upon completion we had a slightly faster railroad, but a much less dramatic photo.
