Whilst some "hands-on" training happens using NS GP38 #2922, it is mostly used for Mechanical Dept. trainees.
There is a full motion TS3 Training Simulator & two static loco-cab simulators, the "Powhatan Arrow" & the "Crescent Ltd."
The 7-mile former Central of Georgia route is closed except to the mainline. Students get a Training Center Timetable & run the route on a computer controlled environment, looped for continuous running.
