when these were kcnw 1 and 2 I worked shop maint. on them for valley camp coal, we had a 7 mile mine track about 2 million tons a year was moveed by 100 ton 4 bay hopper cars to our river tipple for use in aep coal fired plant on kanawha and ohio rivers. both engines were good hawlers and ran very well keith.
