You sure that the caption is correct? That looks way too much like Arcadia, which would make this a Southbound train. I can't think of any place along the main in Greenville that looks anything close to that, even taking into consideration the changes that 40 years would bring.

Also, beautiful photo. For those who are wondering, Arcadia is southbound out of Spartanburg, about 25 miles RR north of Greenville.
