It is just a cab car bought well used and then deengined. The power is at other end. Great shot. Thanks for posting.

Is the tower still there today?

Hall Tower and Jay Tower (on the east and west sides of Jamaica respectively) were in service until several weeks ago. The interlockings are now under central control, and the future of the towers remain uncertain.
