Hot dang, Loyd. Very nice and well deserving of the SC.

How did I miss this?! The use of backlighting can either hurt or help an image and it certainly lent the helping hand for this image. Well done sir, well done.

Not too shabby!

The signal, curve showing part of the consist, fall colors and yellow locomotive front end blending in, and the effective use of back-lighting all add up to a photo that has great composition, perspective and lighting. A well-earned SC for sure. Well done!

I love it! This is one of your better shots Loyd---a real winner. That C&O cantilever, the back lighting and the exhaust are just terrific.

Man, who says you gotta have the sun over your shoulder to capture dramatic shots? Wonderfully done, Loyd.

Very evocative scene of Appalachian coal railroading, Loyd! Great lighting combined with a very strong composition -- the "L" shape of the signal and the diagonal of the track at lower right combine to form a powerful frame for the drama contained inside. Great job!

Very nice shot! I love the way you used the curve and the lighting to make this such a nice shot.
