As a new railfan, I never did get to see any of those. Its the most recent sunset for ever-changing face of railroading.

I am a native of Conyers, only about 20 miles east of Tilford on the Georgia sub. Quite possibly, those units could be the same ones that show up here quite frequently, once a week usually. There is a passing siding coming from Atlanta that is used for some industries along the mainline although from just outside Atlanta to Augusta it is all DTC single track. Be ashame to see them go. I remember a few years ago in Covington they were often used for transfer runs from the Great Walton line, but that was folded up so they probably will be gone.
