I thought all the Hudsons were scrapped. Is this even a Hudson or am I fortunatly inncorrect?

Finally, a nice clear well lite photo of #3001 on RP. She's one driver extra for a Hudson and remains 1 of 2 surviving NYC Mountain type engines (4-8-2), and only 1 of 5 surviving NYC engines all together. The other Mountain is #2933 in St Louis, MO, while the others include 4-4-0 #999, the famous Empire State Express, and two 0-6-0's, #6721 in Utica, NY and #6894 in Connersville, IN. Count six if you include an 0-4-0 replica built in 1893!

Thanks for posting this photo. A good friend of mine told me about this NYC locomotive in Elkhart years ago and said he would show me his pictures that he took. Unfortunately, he past away before I got to see them. Being a PRR fan, I still wanted to see photos of the PRR's compitition since there are so few examples left in existance.
