The DW&P RS-11s were unique to that railroad in that they had a Montreal Locomotive style-underframe arrangement, Dofasco trucks and dynamic brake equipment in the short hood, which were all Canadian characteristics, but standard Alco (the actual builder) notch-nosed hoods.
