Why in the world is a UTA (Utah Transit Authority) train car doing connected to a California Metrolink train? For that matter what is the train car doing out of Utah???

The UTA cars were leased to Metrolink pending the delivery of their new Hyundai Rotem passenger cars (http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=348060). A few of these UTA cars are even still in their original NJ Transit colors!
