Great location and photo. I think you may have the date incorrect. I don't think this livery appeared in Scotland until late 1983 or early 1984. Looking at the photo the loco is a refurbished Class 37/4 you can tell by the modified grills on the side of the nose. The first locos were not released from Crewe Works until mid 1985 this puts the photo some time later than June 1985.
