I will miss seeing those on the old CNW lines around Chicago. They were my favorite units!

I hauled the CN 2127 (former UP 9092) north on M343. All they did with the unit was give it a paint job and new wheels. No D.P. equipment was installed. I will say it did look sharp in fresh CN colors.

Good catch. I have seen one or two of these since they were repainted. If nothing else they look good in the new CN colors.

As a current UP Chicago service unit employee I'am happy that these are gone. Sure they might be nice to look at but try climbing up and down on these with your grip everyday. Too high too narrow and the cab is not as comfortable as the W version with the modified cab.

This unit will be in a much better paint job then the previous owners, but it will never look as good as it did when it was C&NW.
