The building at the left of the train has a very interesting history. It first served as the home of the Capitols(basketball team) from 69-70, was visited by Elijah Muhammed(founder of Islam), and was a tour stop for the Beatles in 64. However, after a riot ensued during a Temptations concert, touring was never done again. During the 70s-80s it was a hot spot for go-go dancing. In the late 80s it briefly became a spiritual center before becoming a trash transfer site. I love how there is a clear view of the metro tracks here.
