3666's frame seems to be a little bent as well.

Was this a rear end collision or a switching move ?

Good thing for bulkheads, the motor doesn't even have a scratch, and that saved the crew from being injured!

Although the lumber car buckled a bit, it seems to have held up pretty well to the force of the locomotive. Was the unit pulling a load or was it alone?

My question is: Who smacks a car at 20 mph?
Posted by Erik Novoa on May 8, 2010
Answer: Somebody who used to work for the railroad.

That's how you fail at biffing cars.

...to the guy who said "the frame looks bent on that SD40-2"...gee, wouldnt you expect some frame curvature after 20+ years of service? 20mph joint, Guess this wasn't an RCL job. Someone must have missed hand signal, or had his head up his behind. Furthermore, just because someone made a hook at 20mph doesnt mean they are gonna get fired...get real people.
