I'm 38, so growing up in the 70's and 80's cabooses were everywhere, and I remember when FRED's started to show up and cabooses started to disappear from mainline trains. It's a treat to see one in regular use like this, and one with windows that aren't welded over and doors welded shut, and a conductor inside doing paperwork like so many conductors have done in cabooses for decades, thanks for the great shot Bill!

What a great looking caboose and an excellent Joliet shot. Well done Bill. It's a flashback.

Great! A real working "BNSF" caboose in 2010. The car appears to also be in good condition.

Fabulous shot Bill. I am very jealous. It's hard to believe you can still shoot something like this in 2010.....but you have to work at it because they are few and far between. Thanks for sharing.

Bravo-Excellent catch, Bill. That's something that'll probably never be seen again. You really were at the right place at the right time. Very nice photo.
