Might be the MBARGAL or MBARKCK, as they have been building them 2 miles long in Barstow.

Is it me, or does that 3rd unit, a H1 Dash-9 have yellow BNSF letters.

A beautiful and well done shot, I like all the Reefers at the headend.

Yeah, what's the story with the third unit? H1 with yellow lettering looks pretty interesting. Nice photo too, by the way!

That's BNSF 1050. The hood section's paint had burned off in typical GE fashion and apparently they only had H2 lettering on-hand when they repainted burnt area.

Thats the HBARGAL914K, many of the BARGALS of late have had over 150 cars, longest one I have seen had 186, Great shot J. Douglass, best shot I have seen of that train, at the best location to catch that train As for BNSF 1050, I believe BNSF was in a power shortage when it came out so it and several other came out with no letters on the locomotives, but the others all got H1 letters, and 1050 was the only one with H2

Thank you all very much for your kind comments. I have it on good authority that the mid units are mostly off line except 1 so it was a 3-1-1 DPU.
