Please note that there are two of these in this photo and that these probably can make short runs with the batteries. Also note that there is a pantograph (painted red) on top of the cab used to pick up power from the overhead wire that powers the Kowloon Trams. These have to be Storage Battery / Straight Electric Locomotives.
