Very nice! It's great for me to know such wondrous things existed during my lifetime. Of course, I was a baby at the time and on the other coast, but still I'm glad.

Jim, you had me actually looking at pictures of 4449 in 2002 to see if it was the same locomotive, haha.
This truly an incredible picture; probably taken on Kodachrome, which is well known for being one of the longest lasting color slide films. Too bad they stopped processing it just recently, I have about 12 rolls of the stuff that can only be developed in black & white now.
