I just stared at this photo for an hour. INCREDIBLE! An uncovered perspective of an amazing place!

Even better than the Google Earth view – although a train is seen. View is looking roughly NW-SE toward LA. Many folk are unaware this is a working ranch i.e. private property. The Loop Ranch is the collection of structures at the top of the upper most loop. Trace to the right, you see the grade crossing to the ranch. Right at that grade crossing are two parking areas, clearly posting “Private Property” and abuse such as leaving trash behind, will result in closure. Thankfully, most rail fans take it to heart and don’t misuse the fantastic access to a working railroad grade. Other than Cajon, no other major grade on the West Coast offers such open access.

Nice! Two aerial shots making the top shots list. You must have got your "James Bond" jet backpack working again!

Fabulous View!!! How much elevation gain is in view over how great a distance?

Ted, there's about 3 miles of track visible with a height gain of around 350 feet. I was the Conductor on this train.
