I was able to go up inside this lead locomotive. Dennis Burns is the engineer on this train. I know this because I talked with him when he was setting out cars for Oklahoma City at Flynn Yard.

That's interesting Kent, I guess you were out there for the UP 2002 Olympic Torch Relay Train as well. I lucked out being able to go film the UP 2002 Olympic Relay Train through a friend that was staying with me at that time by the name of Carter Clements, who transferred out to Clovis, NM. from Birmingham, Al., because he wasn't happy working nothing but yard jobs & only occassional road jobs in emergency, when BNSF ran out of man power. Anyway Carter now works from Clovis, NM. to Belen going through the BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!! Abo Canyon. Carter ran me off a schedule of the UP 2002 Olympic Torch Relay Train & I saw where it was going to run a few days before my vacation started in 2002, so I took a few personal days ahead of my vacation, so I could go film the UP 2002 Olympic Torch Relay Train & while I was out there I would railfan the BNSF Red Rock & Arkansas City Subs, since I never have before. I filmed the UP 2002 Olympic Torch Relay Train 2 times . The 1st shot was taken at Hackney, Ks. & the 2nd & final shot I got was at Eagle Station, OK. That has to be one of my all time greatest catches. I also lucked up & heard the UP 2002 & 2001 SD70M'S were going to lead NS Intermodal Train 226 through Birmingham in April of 2002, so I went out to film them leading on the NS 226 on NS'S Alabama Division East End between Birmingham & Atlanta. Luckily it ran at the right time for good lighting & I was able to film the NS 226 at Brompton, Al. & Tallapoosa, Ga. It was good to hear from you & take care. By the way I work for CSXT as an Engineer out of Birmingham & run to Nashville, TN. Montgomery, Al. Gadsden, Al. & Bessemer, Al. I've been in Birmingham since 1999 & before that I worked as a Conductor in Mobile, Al. running to New Orleans, La.

This is Kent Held and I just wanted to say that your comment was nice and yes i did catch the Olympic train in Oklahoma City at the old Santa Fe depot. I worked for the Nebraska Central Railroad out of Norfolk, NE. I was a conductor for them. we do a lot of interchange with Union Pacific and we had UP 2002 at the yard in Norfolk. I was able to take a look inside for myself. Once again, thank you for the comment. Hope to talk to you again soon
