After seeing the bicentennial paint scheme for SP locomotive 4449 (American Freedom Train) during this time period, I sure wish Conrail could have found a more dignified bicentennial paint scheme for Pennsy's very first GG1. That being said, it's still good to this GG1 regardless of how she's adorned.

I'm probabaly as "patriotic" as most people, but let's face it, this was possibly the VERY WORST paint scheme EVER applied to a locomotive (oops, motor) short of the Soo / MILW "bandits".
