I think we have found a paint scheme that is uglier than NS black!

To each his own. I will say that is a lot of blue. As for the NS black,at least there is some white to break it up. I myself think the NS paint scheme is one of the best around. I think it reflects the heritage of NW. Again to each his own.

Compared to BNSF, KCS, UP and CSX, NS doesn't really compare when it comes to looks but NS has always been cheap, it wasn't until the last 10 years that they put toilets in the locomotives.

It may be a lot of blue, but it's a matching trainset! Nice shot.

Each to his own on paint schemes (I like NS's business look better than BNSF's circus look anyday), but this train just has way too much dark blue with no other colors added. The NS's OCS train is painted WAY better than this thing.

Quit your complaining. It could be a business jet or a chartered bus. I think Guilford , Pan AM or whoever deserves our congratulations and respect for fielding an office car train in the year 2009

Pan Am Railways could easily have given up a long time ago, but is still going strong, which in New England is saying something. Yes, the paint scheme needs some work, but it beats the grey and orange scheme from the Guliford days. They could put a nose herald on this unit as they did on some of their GP40s, but the placementof the nose door appears to have negated that. The Pan Am (and I presume some NS) higher ups were going to have a face to face with Massachusetts pols regarding expansion of T train service and wider access for Pan Am Southern freight to the port of Boston.

Nice shot Matt

Sure, the blue's a little bit out of the ordinary but let me tell 'ya, it sure does come in handy when trying to find it while chasing it through the Berkshires and heavily wooded parts of Northern Mass, and bits and peices of Vermont. Personally, I'd have to say it's up there with some of the neatest paint schemes I've ever had the privelage to see first hand. By the way, nice shot Matt.

Mo Pac anyone??? Reminds me of the blue dip job on the old Missouri Pacific.

Why didn't they use the first paint scheme they had, with the lighter blue Pan Am globe over a background with black "letterboxing." The old, classic logo is cool, but it is just too much dark blue, in my opinion.
