Now there's a scene I wish I captured! Excellent!

When I was at Railcamp, Steamtown voulenteers told me that 2317 was going in for its 5-year inspection and overhaul, they didn't mention anything about her going on display.

I, too, heard that she's going up to Canada for an inspection. It was even in a local newspaper.

With the condition of the economy being what it is, we have to get used to seeing only one steam engine operating at any given time anywhere. B&M 3713 has no realistic chance of operating anytime soon. It was too far gone, a fact that is not going to be admitted to by the Steamtown brass. 2317 is not in danger of being scrapped, let's just appreciate that she is not being scrapped.

Wow, why does everyone jump to conclusions so quickly over 2317? #3713 may not have been in the best shape. It was however, compared to #2124 through an evaluation and determined to be in better shape than the T1 which is why the Steamtown "brass" chose it for restoration. #2317 will run again. Once #3713 is finished, yes it may take a little while, 2317 will go in for her 1472 day. By that time, 3254 will be well out of time and probably will not receive the work it needs making it only static display. So stop worrying about 2317 everyone!
