A beautiful restoration. When I took the train here on a short hop from Syracuse in the 1970s, the waiting room wasn't even open.

I have often wondered , while traveling between NYC and Syracuse or Rochester, what the interior of this station actually looked like. They have done what appears to be a really nice restoration here, including adding what appears to be an elevated "train-watching deck" at trackside. I would like to have a short discussion, though, with the careless person who TAPED that poster to the beautiful woodwork. THANK the voters (taxpayers) of New York State who have regularly supported improvements to the state's passenger rail services for the last several decades. New York has lost a number of major stations, but most that survive in active use are being well cared for.
