Interesting to see a TOFC train coming from downtown. I assume Penn Central must've had an intermodal yard downtown on the west side of the river. This train is winding through where Amtrak's locomotive service facility sits today, on the track that hugs Lumber Street. This track now dead ends in Amtrak's facility, and stores locomotives that are temporarily shelved.

That is just sad, two nice steamers getting cut up over storage issues. I guess the dollar is worth more then history in the eyes of some.

It sure is sad to see a fine steamer like the 5629 be cut for scrap due to a bunch of pointless legal issues.
