Great, there something of bestial in this locomotive !

While these"Great Beasts" will never roam the earth agian, it does seem reasonable to believe that at least some high traffic volume or high-tonnage freight main lines will again be electrified . Modern electrical power , controls and braking re-generation just make it too logical not to go back to electic power. The critical part is the traffic density and agreeing on who will pay for the infrastructure, the railroads or the electic companies from whom they would likely buy their electical power.
