Wonder why the fence went away? It was put up because of railfans trespassing. For years you used to be able to walk right up to a few posts with chain looped across the top and take pics. I'm told some "folks" just had to go over the chains to the turntable to take pictures and up went the fence.

Fence removal is just temporary. It was removed to move a new fence out about six feet more, to allow a "road" if you will, in front of the engines for service buggies with tools and such for working on the locomotives. Today, the new posts are in and the fence will return shortly. Scooter, I went down there two different times in the evening when the light was good, each time I got there a cloud popped up and I could not get this shot, glad you got it, can't tell when it will ever happen again!
