I am fascinated at how well F-Ms did on the Virginian, Pittsburgh & West Virginia, Lackawanna, Southern Pacific, Chicago & North Western and Milwaukee at one end of a scale of satisfaction with their F-M power, yet Union Pacific, Santa Fe, New Haven, Long Island, Wabash, New York Central and Pennsylvania at the opposite end. New York Central was so angry they repowered their larger F-Ms in less than a decade, as did Wabash, Katy, Monon and Rock Island.
