Martin on September 15, 2009  I'm not a huge B&W fan Steve but this image caught my eye right away and "jumped out from the crowd" even in thumbnail form (similar to how you must have reacted the next day at your light table!). You're lucky for to reasons, PERFECT shutter button timing and you nailed UP using an ex-SP locomotive - most likely an ex-SP/SSW GP40-2 from the filled-in SP noselight profile and A/C. Just a great shot of my old H.S. nighttime railfanning stomping grounds (Hobart/L.A.River corridor).
