The wife and I stayed at the old Chemists Club of NYC hotel (The Dylan) right around the corner from here in May of '08. Great picture of an awesome station. And to think they wanted this one to meet the same fate as Penn Station!

What a wonderful salute to what in my opinion is the finest station (terminal) in the USA. Too bad Amtrak had to leave here. But the MTA is taking better care of this monument to Commodore Vanderbilt than Penn Central and the post-Robert R. Young New York Central, under Alfred Pearlman, who wanted to destroy this monument to the America many of us miss!
