Nice capture! This reminds me of days ranging from hot and muggy to bitterly cold waiting for the MEC to pass over the trestle. However, the MEC through train off the mountain would be YR-1, since RY-2 was the westbound to St. Johnsbury. "East is even" did not apply here. See William Klapp's shot of RY-2 for Colorado Zephyr's comment about the last MEC service through the Notch.
