Great shot Bob. Although as a T1 fan, this a sad shot, I have never seen a shot of the T1s being used in this capacity. Thanks for sharing.

Bob - Thanks for sharing this photo. As sad as it sounds, using railroad steam locomotives as 'portable steam supplies' actually helped prolong their lives. The N&W 1218 performed this same function at one time in her life, and she is still in existance today. I don't know if Reading's 2109 sister engine 2101 was used for this function. But if it was, I'm glad it was kept around. I got to ride behind the 2101 in the 1970's.
