Diesel Gog power. Steam killer or not, is less labor intensive, more cost effective, less polluting, and burns bio diesel fuel. The three Diesels will save the Railway in other ways. Such as allowing the remaining Steam Locos to extend their flue time by making fewer trips and giving the shops more time to better repair,service, and rebuild them. The Mount Washington Cog Railway is not about being a railway museum, it is first and foremost a transportation system that moves people and supplies up and down the mountain. If the railway had to depend on steam lovers, they would have gone broke years ago. The name of the game is Tourism, a place to go and something to do when on vacation or traveling !
