A very similar bridge still exists over the Kentucky River, on the former Southern Railway line between Lawrenceburg, Kentucky and Versailles, Kentucky. The Bluegrass Railroad Museum owns approximately five miles of this line. The Museum's trains used to run to the north end of this bridge, but now stop about a mile short, due to a curved trestle that needs extensive rebuilding. The bridge is easily viewed from the state highway connecting the same towns. If you go to see the railroad bridge be very careful and slow down before the highway bridge. The highway bridge is somewhat dangerous in that even though widened and rebuilt several years ago, it is one of only a few two lane bridges with very sharp curves on both of it's approach spans, in the United States.
