I think the car belongs to the signalman at the nearby Blea Moor signalbox. I had to walk for about twenty minutes from my car to this spot.

Yep, I think that the signaller for Blea Moor always seems to park there. It's obviously the shortest walk for him, but it does get in the photograph about (as it also did here : http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=246277). I'm so glad British Rail never closed the line, how can you close the 'Roof of England'? History would not remember them well
