Note the lower recessed light in the aftercooler. I believe that this was a foglight.

Makes me realize society then was about people dressing elegant for just about everything and today we just don't see that enough anymore. That loco is just as elegant as the people are dressed in. LOL.

Apparently the PRR only saved locomotives that met two criteria. They had to exemplify the railroad's design standards, and they had to have been successful in service. Due to the latter, a T-1 did not join the collection at Northumberland.

Thanks for posting this great classic photo. In my opion the T-1,s were the best looking steam engines on the Pennsy. What a shame they are all gone.
