I worked on this section in 1963, being transferred to here from Florence on the Bitterroot Branch of the Northern Pacific. This line splits here going north to Evaro Hill, then Arlee on the Flathead Reservation. I worked on a 3-man section during the winter months, keeping switches clear of snow and cleaning up messes of a paper plant. Have fond memories of the Northern Pacific, later the Burlington Northern. Would not trade those times of my youth, having great memories of this part. I was taking a lunch break here when Pres. Kennedy was shot in November. Missoula in the back ground! Great shot Justin!
