Beautiful shot. Once upon a time, a similar scenic stop was made available in NY on the Letchworth Trestle spanning the Upper Falls. In fact, Southern Pacific was another railroad that similary scheduled a 5 minute stop while traveling through Donner Pass at a viewing platform overlooking the American River Gorge above Colfax. Dave and Frank, nice shots by both of you from this spot on the same day almost exactly 2 hours apart (1:59). I'm not saying which one I like better though.

It's such a shame that passengers are no longer let off the train to explore the bridge from the catwalk. I was fortunate enough to experience this several years back and it's still an experience I love to talk about today. Truly Alaskan!
