Looks like the train tried to string line but the rail fasteners held just enough to keep things together. Sucks, but I suppose it beats cleaning up tipped over garbage containers.

I usually skip the long stories on photos as they are usually the same old, "Sitting here brings back the memories of..." or something like that, but this was an interesting read and clad I didn't pass it up. Great shot and great storie, David. Way to be on top of the situation, sir.

They lowered the speed limit on that stretch of track from 15mph to 10mph after the incident. Great catch, Dave.
