Excellent aerial shot! So much to see in this one--there's stored UP and BN power and various examples of the Rock's paint schemes. Looks like the Bicentennial unit even made an appearance! Compare this with aerial photos today: most of the yard tracks at left are completely gone now.

Count me as one of them Ray. Although the IAIS is currently rebuilding a portion of the old yard on the left and National Railway Equipment continues to service/store/scrap engines at the old shop complex, it will never be the same!

Great shot to pass along, thanks! Not date on that photo, but with all the cleary stored locomotives, I'm wondering if the time period is after the Rock Island shut down?
