Great story and pictures. You had the place and train to yourself! Bulldog, the silver things behind the train are the beams for the Hanging Bridge. The stuff across the river is the former wooden pipeline that used to provide the water supply for Canon City. The source pools were close to here, and the wooden pipes parallel the ROW all the way down to Canon City. Learned about that from the Royal Gorge Train tour guide this summer.
