Amtraks makes sense for slack action, but it certainly would have been easier to shunt with those auto carriers on the front!
I'm amazed at how muddy that river is though! It looks like it's running upside down!

Three years later Auto-Train moved the auto carriers to the back of the train. This did help a lot with the comfort of the passengers ride, which is why moved them.
