I love the slightly down angle of this photo as it shows something that I thought no longer existed in American Railroading. In the days of E and F units and other covered wagons, many railroads followed an aviation practice of applying anti-glare panels in front of windshields to provide better vision to crews. Union Pacific has done this for years but photos taken from track side don't reveal this feature. I wonder if any other modern railroads have this feature as part of their paint scheme.

I have seen numerous pictures of locomotives with the anti-glare stuff applied. I think it's common practice.
