Thea is something different a diesel that looks like it belongs with it's steam counterparts, but is easy to run in off peak times or as a replacement when necessary. That stairway looks like something seen on construction equipment. The muffler looks like it's home made. I wonder if it was built " in house". If so than kudos to the shop crew!

I would be so disappointed if I had traveled all the way from Arizona to New Hampshire to ride this railway only to see this thing come puttering up behind my car! Now I like diesel locomotives, but to me the Mt. Washington Railway means steam powered trains.
